Chanel x Versailles x Marie Antionette

Chanel's Resort 2013 is a breath of fresh air. Having watched Marie Antionette only recently in the past year (Yes, I know, stop judging me already. Haha.), it was as if I was brought back to that era where Antionette lived. A new interpretation of the panniers which was oh-so-fashionable during the 18th century, paired with platform shoes, almost creeper-like, giving the whole collection an entire new modern twist. Along with that, comes the coloured bob hair that the models donned to complement the pastel colour scheme, and giving attention also to the velvet 'Double C' sticker on their cheeks. Love the quirk that comes with the collection.

BLACK AND WHITE

I love black and white photographs. They emit a sense of sophistication and sometimes sadness. But I just love how they look. I guess it makes one even more observant because when you lose all the colour, all you zoom in at are the details. And sometimes, the details are what's most important.
